Highly Dynamic Range Photography...........

few days a go i was going through some photography blogs for some tips & tricks. then i found a site where  some mind blowing images are on display. at a glance you can say that those pictures have been given  added value with some rich colours, lights and shadows and details. i was so inspired by those pictures and finally got some valuable information.

These images are called HDR images (Highly Dynamic Range). When we take a picture its always the case that some of them are either over or under exposure.Result is some images could be in  high or low contrast.

(What Is an Exposure In Photography ? - In photography, exposure is the total amount of light allowed to fall on the photographic medium (photographic film or image sensor) during the process of taking a photograph. Exposure is measured in lux seconds, and can be computed from exposure value (EV) and scene luminance over a specified area -Wikipidia )

Processing these normal images through HDR will highlight great details in the light and shadows of the image. You will need some specified software like Photshop CS2 , GIMP or photomatix.

Finally i managed to get few shots done and processed through HRD software. needs few tweaks to get the best out of it as i am still trying to master it.

i am sharing few links and blogs in this post which you might find interesting if you want to try HDR photography....
